"To the Light" 16"x20" acrylic on canvas, 2009
As a child I was very shy, but observant. I would see patterns in dust particles and spent hours looking at the sunlight streaming through leaves; use a magnifying glass to explore design in snowflakes around seeds -- these were magik to me. My first oil paintings hung in an adult exhibition in the Cocoran Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.. I was barely 11 years old.
I continue to explore the ever present patterns, rhythms and frequencies in nature. The ceaseless ebb and flow of life is ever manifesting and creating; cells dancing their great dance separating and merging into new and greater forms. My growing consciousness of this life force is constantly expanding and seeking expression through my art.
